I had the opportunity to spend a few hours in Antwerp last week. A lovely city for a short visit.
It was one of the first spring days, which means many were out to enjoy the sun. In the beginning I felt restricted to take pictures of the people, because they seem to be reserved.. But was I wrong, quite soon 2 man asked whether I wanted to take a picture of them, and again a short 5 minutes later.
I have had the opportunity to talk to friendly women, we shared a coffee and at the end of the day I went to a bakery where I met a vivid woman, aged 90 years.
This is one of the things I like best about street photography. All emotions surface in a few hours walking the streets and I connect to people I would normally not interact with.
